About the artist

Kelly Fagan Anderson

I learned to draw and paint at a very young age. Art and design has always been my passion, and part of my life. Whether taking photographs, painting, drawing, knitting, weaving, sewing, or writing, I am always striving to create something beautiful. Growing up in Blacksburg, Virginia in the heart of the Appalachain Mountains, I prefer to be outside in nature. My aesthetic design is strongly influenced by my Appalachain heritage. Recollecting stories about faeries from my great-grand parents, and fond memories of hiking and caving with my parents. They taught me about geology and the flora sprouting through the detritus along magical hiking trails.

I have an Associates of Applied Science in Communication Design, a Bachelors of Fine Art in Apparel Design, and a Masters of Business Administration in Project Management.

Currently I reside in Portland, Oregon with my husband and daughter. I spend my time designing full-time, exploring the ancient forests and climbing glaciated volcanic mountain tops in the Pacific Northwest.
