About the artist

Kelly Fagan Anderson

At a very young age, I was taught to draw and paint. Whether taking photographs, painting, drawing, knitting, weaving, sewing, or writing, I am always striving to create something beautiful. Growing up in Blacksburg, Virginia in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, I prefer to be outside in nature. My aesthetic design is strongly influenced by my diverse Appalachian heritage. Recollecting stories about faeries from my great-grand parents, and fond memories of hiking and caving with my parents. Observing the scientific names of clouds, geological landscapes, the chemical components of rock minerals, and even the Latin names of flora sprouting through the detritus along magical hiking trails.

I have an Associates of Applied Science in Communication Design, a Bachelors of Fine Art in Apparel Design, and a Masters of Business Administration in Project Management.

Currently I reside in Oregon with my husband and three children. I spend my free-time exploring the ancient forests and climbing glaciated volcanic mountain tops in the Pacific Northwest.
